In 2001 the idea for the South East Wisconsin Exotic Reptile Festival was grown from a want to amplify the growing reptile community in Wisconsin and bring an amazing selection of breeders together to inspire herpetoculturists across the region. Over the last 24 years of shows we have seen our mission met and then some. But as we entered our 25th year, I knew we needed to make sure we extended the path of our mission. So, while SEWERFest has always been a place to welcome and inspire herpetoculturists of all levels, we will place extra emphasis on our duty as a community to grow our future even more. Our path to success and growth has always been as a captive bred only show, ensuring that all keepers who experience SEWERFest are set up with the best quality animals for success, while also celebrating the efforts of breeders. To extend this path we will place extra emphasis on the education, interaction and conservation through breeding.
In order to accommodate this effort, we are expanding the show into the south hall at Fountain Banquet hall, and increasing our booth space by 50%. These spaces will allow us to welcome a group of vendors, who not only can bring in more captive bred species that are underserved, but also welcoming more educational vendors, hands on experiences, and vendors with products that elevate the reptile keeping experience.
Our first show of 2025 will be on Sunday April 27th at the Fountain Banquet Hall. General Admission is $7 for adults and $1 for children (12 and under). VIP entry is from 9-10am and is $15 for adults and $5 for children. As part of our educational experience there will be two presentations by WPS reptiles in the south hall, at 11:00 and 1:00. These presentations will be included with your paid admission and a great experience for attendees of all experience levels.
