About this Event
Draft and sew a beginner-friendly top with Cassandra from Laurel Small Batch Goods!
In this workshop, you'll be led step-by-step in taking your measurements, drafting your top, cutting your fabric, and sewing it all together! You'll also get to customize some aspects of your garment including the length and if you want bow ties at the front of your garment or at your shoulder!
Plus, you'll learn how to add an elastic smocking/ruffle feature called shirring to your garment and how to sew your garment together neatly with a french seam. This is a beginner sewist friendly workshop, but participants should already feel comfortable setting up their sewing machine, sewing a straight stitch, and sewing a backstitch.
Bring Your Own Sewing Machine or borrow 1 of 4 available machines for the workshop.
Please email [email protected] to reserve a machine.
