SEW-A-THON: STITCHING TOGETHER FOR STRONGER FAMILIES
Join Julie McFarlane of Hooked On Quilts and our community for a special Sew-A-Thon supporting the Radiothon to End Child Abuse!
Together, we're putting our needles and hearts to work to create 10 quilts for children impacted by child abuse in our region.
No outside food is allowed. We will have catering from South Shore. You are welcome to leave an eat elsewhere.
Materials Included: We will provide: Fabric, Patterns, thread, extra rotary blades, extra needles, irons, ironing boards, cutting matts. We will have extra rulers, special rulers required for the pattern if needed.
Requirements: You will need to bring a sewing machine. If you have any items that you prefer to use for piecing and cutting, please feel free to bring them. You will be working in teams of two on a pattern to cut and sew the top of a quilt. You will need to book your own room - if you would like to join us and spend the night in the hotel. You can share a room, all room blocks are double queen beds. Room block ends September 29.
