Sew A Quilted Scarf
About this Event
This class is taking place from 10 am - 3 pm Pacific
We will be using the Sugar Quilt Scarf pattern (View A) by Matchy Matchy Sewing Club. This beginner-friendly pattern combines simple garment sewing and quilting. This scarf would make a lovely gift!
You Will Learn How To:
- Use a rotary cutter, ruler and mat to easily cut precise shapes
- Piece fabric to prevent bulky hard-to-sew seams
- Quilt your scarf using the “hand tie” method
This Class Is For You If:
- You can thread your machine, wind a bobbin, select stitches, and sew forward and back.
I Will Provide:

- A 14 × 72” piece of batting
- Embroidery floss in white, cream, or black (if you’d like a different colour, please bring your own)
- All tools and equipment.
- (If you need one) A sewing machine, foot pedal, and empty bobbin.
You Need To Bring:
- 1 m each of two coordinating quilting cottons, linens or other woven fabrics (min. 43” wide) OR
Enough scraps of two different fabrics to make 6 x 14” squares each - A spool of good quality all-purpose thread in a coordinating colour
