Seven Windows, One Map: A Somatic Energy Workshop for Hmong Women
About this Event
You can understand exactly why you're stressed and still repeat the same tight-shouldered, shallow-breathed loop, because the pattern isn't stored in your thinking mind. It's stored in your body's learned response to stress. And most of us were never taught how to feel that response, let alone interrupt it. Instead, as Hmong women, we were taught to pour our energy into everyone else first, and to do it quietly, without a room full of women showing us we can be another way.
This workshop helps Hmong women shift from spiraling to centered so that you stop apologizing for prioritizing yourself, your energy stays steady even when someone else's chaos walks into the room, and you move through your days in flow instead of force.
Inside Seven Windows, One Map, I've built a two-hour experience using the Energy Leadership Framework — translated through language you might already know, chakras, energy centers, reiki — to help you:
- Feel the loop before you're bracing through it, by pulling you out of your normal routine and rhythm long enough to notice the pattern instead of just performing it
- Separate who you are from the state you're in, so over-responsibility stops feeling like your identity and starts feeling like a stress response you can choose your way out of
- Do this work in community, not isolation, in a room of up to 20 Hmong women who are just as new to this as you, because one woman prioritizing herself can look like rebellion, but twenty women doing it together looks like healing survival patterns.
Come feel the difference in your body.

Hi! I'm Jouapag, and I'm living proof that feeling steady without carrying everyone else's chaos is possible.
There was a season where I sat in my car after work, crying because I was burnt out from community advocacy work, resentful that the people in my family and friendships weren't showing up for me the way I showed up for them. I'd been so busy managing everyone else's needs that I never learned to feel my own signals until they were screaming.
What changed wasn't the job. It wasn't my family. It was learning to feel my own energy in my body, not just understand it in my head.
On the other side of this work, I learned to catch my stress signals before I was cranky, snapping at people I loved over nothing that was actually about them. I learned to ask for help instead of quietly resenting that no one offered it. I stopped trying to save or fix everyone around me and put that same energy toward my own healing instead. That shift changed who I trusted, what I let myself want, and how much room I finally gave myself to grow into.
I don't teach this because I read about it somewhere. I teach it because I had to learn to feel my own energy before I could trust anything else I was doing. I'm a Certified Professional Coach through iPEC, an ELI practitioner, and a 2024 Bush Fellow.
