The final project of Three Notch’d Road’s 14th season transports listeners to Cádiz, Spain, where Haydn’s meditative masterwork The Seven Last Words of Christ was first performed on Good Friday, 1787. Three Notch’d Road’s performance of this transcendent composition, written by Haydn for orchestra and then for string quartet, features violinists Aisslinn Nosky and Fiona Hughes.
