Setsubun Festival Ehomaki Sushi Making Workshop

Setsubun, which means "seasonal division," is observed in Japan on February 3rd, signaling the end of winter and the start of spring according to the lunar calendar. A key tradition during Setsubun is mamemaki, or the tossing of roasted soybeans to ward off evil spirits and welcome good fortune. Another popular practice is eating Ehomaki, a special type of uncut sushi roll, to bring luck and prosperity.
