Bovey’s journey from Mwanza, Tanzania to Seton Hill in 2009 is a story of courage, determination, and community. With just one bag and no winter coat, he built a home here—earning both his bachelor’s and MBA, excelling on the field and in the classroom, and forming lifelong friendships. Bovey went on to a successful career and a beautiful family before his passing.
In his honor, his wife Kathryn has created The Bovey Masiole Balyesele ’13 Memorial Endowed Scholarship to support future Seton Hill students.
