The National Bank of Indianapolis and Hedges are pleased to announce the panelists for Session 4 of the 2024 Nonprofit Training Series.

Ashley Parker, Program Manager, Associate Engagement - Elevance Health Foundation

As manager for associate engagement programs, Ashley oversees the company’s matching gifts program (Dollars for Dollars) and volunteer programs (Dollars for Doers, the Volunteer Recognition Program, and Elevance Health Volunteer Days). Ashley joined the Foundation in 2024 after serving as director of philanthropy at the Buckingham Foundation, where she developed grant-giving guidelines, directed all philanthropic and corporate charitable giving, and managed employee engagement programs.

Ashley earned her bachelor’s degree in residential property management at Ball State University. She is also a graduate of the Mutz Philanthropic Leadership Institute through the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance and obtained a nonprofit executive leadership certificate from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.

Kate Brierty, Senior Consultant - Hedges

As a Senior Consultant at Hedges, Kate excels at helping corporations and nonprofit organizations build win-win strategies that foster greater community impact. She has developed and led trainings and workshops based on leading practices in Corporate Social Responsibility and is skilled at helping corporations and nonprofits identify and leverage their assets for the greater good.

Prior to joining Hedges in 2019, Kate held leadership positions in education and nonprofit roles in Charlotte, Detroit, and Indianapolis. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies with a concentration in organizing for social change from the University of Michigan.

Kraig Kinchen, Executive Director - 100 Black Men of Indianapolis

In October 2023, Kraig Kinchen MD, MSc began serving as the executive director of 100 Black Men of Indianapolis Inc. following a 22-year career at Eli Lilly and Company. At Lilly, he served in several senior medical director roles as well as in supervisory roles in the outcomes research group, retiring as Associate Vice President for Value, Evidence, and Outcomes in the Diabetes and Obesity area. Prior to beginning his Lilly career in 2001, he earned a B.S. degree (Biology and Sociology) from Tulane University, an MSc in Social Research and Social Policy as a Marshall Scholar at Oxford University, and an MD from Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in health services research (Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program) at Johns Hopkins. He serves on the board of Elevate Indianapolis and is a member of Covenant Community Church.
