November 13, 2026 Noon, ET

After a tumultuous summer and chaotic election cycle, Lee Rainie, director of Elon University’s Imagining the Digital Future Center, and Alan Inouye, longtime former head of the American Library Association’s advocacy and public policy work, will discuss the implications for libraries of the major new report, “Building a Human Resilience Infrastructure for the AI Age.”

They believe that librarians' expertise and community embeddedness will make them key actors in helping people retain autonomy and dignity as AI systems become evermore embedded in everyday life.
