About this Event
Sue Stockdale is a pioneering adventurer, executive coach, and author. In 1996, she became the first British woman to ski to the Magnetic North Pole, a milestone in a journey that has taken her to over 75 countries. A former Scottish international athlete, Sue's appetite for challenge began with her first expedition to Kenya with Raleigh International in 1988, later serving as Deputy Expedition Leader in Chile.
In 2024, Sue was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society in recognition of her contributions to exploration and her work inspiring others to embrace adventure.
As an international speaker and host of the award-winning Access to Inspiration podcast, Sue has interviewed guests from over 25 countries – from artists to astronauts – exploring what drives people to achieve extraordinary things.
With over two decades of experience as an executive coach, Sue helps leaders worldwide unlock potential and navigate change with confidence. She holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and a Master's in Quality Management, and is the author of several books, including EXPLORE: A Life of Adventure, Risk: All That Matters, and Motivating People. Her TEDx talk, Transformation Begins in the Mind, explores the power of mindset in achieving success.
In her talk, Sue explores why an adventurous mindset has become essential in today's world. As constant change and uncertainty reshape how we live and work, the ability to adapt, make bold decisions, and take action despite the unknown is what sets people apart. Drawing on her own expedition experiences, Sue reveals how adventure develops the resilience, confidence, and clarity we all need to navigate complex challenges and thrive in uncertain times.
