Exploring Geology in a fun way. Not every hike needs to be loud or fast. Welcome to a space for slow steps, good vibes, and geo-curiosity 🗺️🌿
This is a Spanglish-friendly, small-group hike where you can connect or just enjoy the trail peacefully.

****Try to carpool if needed. Plenty of space.

What to bring:

🥾 Sturdy shoes / Hiking Poles 

💦 Water or your fav drink

👕Check the weather, dress appropriately | Layers 

🎒Light backpacks if needed

🐍 Beware of snakes, ticks, and other cute lil critters

Trail Route: Light  EST: 1hr to 2hrs | 1.5 Miles - 2 Miles ( longer trail may take up to 3hrs | 4 mi roundtrip)

Meet by the Pueblo Day Picnic Area

- Hike along Mine Trail 

- Continue on Mine Trail until it turns into Rocky Ridge Trail 

- Hike a lil more passing the bridge to look at some serpentinite outcrops 

- *** We will head back after this point, but IF PEOPLE are interested we can continue on the longer loop to see more serpentinite, wildflowers, maybe some cows, and blueschist. **THIS will be longer but fun

- If we decide to head back early, we will stop by to see the hidden chert

- If time allows, we can also discreetly see hidden sandstone with fossils
