About this Event
'Serpentine Vocal Workshop' welcomes singers into an immersive singing experience. During this workshop, we will share and teach original song by the Serpentine Choir and Siobhán Kavanagh. Participants will be invited into this experimental vocal workshop that explore themes of plant medicine, elements of nature and song. All types of voices are welcome. Tuesday 28th of July at 3.30pm - 5.30pm. @ The Nest, Custom House Quay, Sligo.
Artist's Bio:
Serpentine is a Cork and New Orleans based, femme and queer vocal ensemble directed by MaeDea Farrell Moon. The choir sings seasonal thresholds, opening relational spaces between human and more-than-human worlds. Their voices carry lament, devotion, frenzy and joy, tending to memory and belonging through the embodied voice.
