Seraphina Alchemist Annual Award of $3,333
The Seraphina Alchemist Award has been thoughtfully granted by Seraphina Khepera’s family to honor her in memoriam.
Are you an artist who is creating positive change? A creator developing a completely new style? An up and coming artist embracing art in a serious way? Are you or have you overcome challenges to embrace your purpose as a change maker and creator?
We are seeking candidates who in some way embody the concept of Alchemy. That is to take something that is either challenging, or of little value, and transform it into something much greater.
We are seeking deserving candidates to submit an application to receive this award.
An Award Ceremony will be held at the Gabriola Arts and Heritage Centre, January 29, 2025 from 5-7pm. Application deadline is December 31st, 2024.
This award is open to any visual artist over the age of 18. Preference will be given to Gabriola Artists. A short list of applicants will be asked to submit a piece of work to be
displayed at the ceremony. The person who receives the award this year, will be asked to speak about their journey, and about how the award helped them at the following year’s ceremony.
