In almost ten years of hikes all over California, can you believe we have never been to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon?? Well, it’s time we make that happen.
Do you know the largest sequoia’s on earth are in this park? Trees so tall and big, nature trails at their finest, it will be a memorable experience.
Friday we arrive in the evening in Visalia at the Airbnb that has been booked. Hikes EARLY Saturday and Sunday (both days leave at 6am). Sunday afternoon barbecue and pool and chill and then drive back home Monday.
Expect the weather to be in the 80’s so, dress accordingly.
Both days we start early, beat the heat and get back within time to enjoy the evening, into the night.
Everyone gets their own queen size bedroom (6). There are 4 baths.
Transportation wise, it will be best if we carpooled there in a couple cars so we will arrange that closer to the trip date.
Sequoia Park is the destination hike for Saturday morning. Moro Rock will be the destination hike for Sunday morning sunrise followed by Kings Canyon Park.
The two parks are next to each other and both have some of the top ten biggest tress in the world. One of the highest rated National Parks in the country.
Each room is $135 a night total which covers the 3 days.
Price breakdown is depositing $130 to hold your spot. Non refundable.
Then;
$100 March 15th.
$100 April 15th
$70 May 15th
It’s also $50 added each person who comes which goes into 510 Hikers donation account for events and projects we use funds for. If two people stay in a room. It’s only $400 but both pay the $50 ($50 is per person).
The house is huge, with a pool, nice kitchen and a hot tub.

Sequoia National Park is home to the General Sherman and Grant Tree, which inspire awe and wonder with their immense size and age. These ancient giants have stood for thousands of years, witnessing centuries of change and offering a humbling perspective of nature.

I’d expect each day to hike somewhere between 7 and 8 miles.
You can share rooms yes. But two max please to a room.
This is a road trip from either the Bay Area, or, Los Angeles.
The house is roughly 60 minutes from the park.
