SEQ Regional Drought Resilience Plan implementation roundtable - Brisbane
About this Event
From Plan to Action: Strengthening Drought Resilience in South East Queensland
Do you have a project to help boost the drought resilience of the region?
Now that the Regional Drought Resilience Plan (RDRP) has been formally approved by both the State and Australian Governments, our region is moving into the exciting next phase: turning the Plan’s priorities into practical projects that strengthen the region’s resilience to future drought.
To support this work, the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) are convening a series of short, interactive roundtable discussions with local stakeholders across South East Queensland. These sessions will focus on identifying and shaping RDRP projects ready for implementation, and exploring the practical steps needed to deliver them successfully in the region.
The roundtables provide a space to move plans into action across the priorities identified in the RDRP, helping turn good ideas into projects that are practical, supported and ready to progress.
First Nation input vital
We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, custodians, knowledge holders who have cultural knowledge and something to share about drought and how we consider these perspectives in the future.
