September Volunteer Fair and Training
About this Event
Date: September 19-20, 2026
Time: (Both Days) 9:00am-3:00pm
Location: The Nest at SafeNest
Ready to turn your passion into purpose? Join us for the SafeNest Volunteer Training & Fair: a fun, interactive event where you'll discover the many ways you can help create a safer Southern Nevada.
Explore volunteer opportunities at information stations, meet the SafeNest team, and find the role that's right for you. Whether you're interested in supporting survivors at our confidential shelter, supporting survivors during the court process, welcoming guests at our front desk or answering calls on our 24/7 hotline, there's a place for everyone to make an impact.
After exploring the opportunities, you'll participate in an engaging volunteer training that will introduce you to SafeNest's mission, the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence, trauma-informed volunteering, and how every volunteer plays a vital role in creating hope and healing.
You'll leave with new connections, valuable knowledge, and the confidence to begin your volunteer journey. Together, we can create a community where survivors are supported, families are strengthened, and everyone has the opportunity to live free from violence.
This event completes the Mandatory Two-Day Volunteer Training, a required step for anyone looking to become an active SafeNest volunteer.
Come meet the team. Find your fit. Be part of something BOLD.
