Join us for a weekend of adventure, and exploration . We have endless possibilities from inland swims on remote moorland, to epic sea swimming adventures and slow, snaking rivers.You can book this weekend at www.openwaterdevon.com for £395pp, or a deposit of £150pp.
These weekends are taken at a leisurely pace, but this weekend is aimed at people who are already fairly confident swimming in open water. Although we will be taking it slowly and this is suitable for all stroke types, we will be aiming to swim at least 1.5km in each swim, so minimum of 3km per day . If you'd rather enjoy a retreat with less swimming check out our August retreat aimed at covering less distance, and building confidence.
The aim is for at least 2 swims a day with lots of time to explore and relax too. On each day there is a chance to cover a small theory session on topic like tide, first aid, water hazards, jellyfish, currents.
The accommodation is situated in Ledstone, just outside Kingsbridge. It's a gated property with lots of parking, and is a mix of en-suite and shared bathrooms. There is a large kitchen which is fully stocked for cooking meals and relaxing in.
You can also chose to pay just a deposit for £150pp, the remaining will need to be paid at least 6 weeks before the retreat.
The weekend includes:
3 nights self catering accommodation (fri/sat/sun)
Breakfasts are provided
All swims and safety cover
Theory lessons
Coaching/Performance Sessions (if wanted)
Post swim hot choc and cake
Not included:
Lunches or Dinners (eat out/take away/self cater)
