What: We will kick start our return to monthly snork talk/socials with "A Beginners Guide to Underwater Film-making" by freediver, Youtuber and adventure film-maker Flossy Roxx. A Beginners Guide to Underwater Filmmaking will encourage and educate all with a passion for the underwater world to share, document and tell stories so those who can’t see below the waves may join us. The evening includes a showing of Flossy's critically recognized documentary "Fellowship of the Sea", that follows the story of the Salt Spring Seals and their special relationships, past, present and future, with the ocean on their 20th anniversary of ocean swimming.
Bonus: Free draw prize for a gift certificate to East 2 West Freediving!
When: Tuesday Sept. 9, 6:30pm. The presentation is followed by the opportunity to meet and mingle.
Where: The COAST Ocean Innovation Hub, 517 Herald Street, Victoria.
How much: Free, by donation (suggested $2 to help us cover our costs).
RSVP: We have a new RSVP system to make sure we can cater to seating needs. This is not compulsory, but highly recommended and appreciated (thank you!).
