Welcome to the 10th season of First Fridays Fort Wayne!
As we kick off our new year, we’re welcoming Doug Horner as our featured speaker.
Doug Horner is the Founder and CEO of Medical Informatics Engineering (MIE), a leading healthcare technology company specializing in electronic medical records and health information systems. A lifelong innovator and entrepreneur, Doug is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex challenges in healthcare and beyond.
Outside of his work in health informatics, Doug is a dedicated advocate for STEM education and robotics. He actively mentors and sponsors local high school robotics teams, helping inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators. Doug also founded Bionanomics, a nonprofit organization that combines robotics and microbiology research to accelerate scientific discovery.
Known for his curiosity, commitment to innovation, and passion for mentorship, Doug brings a unique perspective on technology, leadership, and empowering future generations to make a lasting impact.
Join us to hear Doug share his perspective on leadership, innovation, and developing future talent. You'll also have the chance to build meaningful connections with professionals, community leaders, and others who are passionate about making a positive impact in our community.
- First Friday meets once a month, September-May, for a free hour-long gathering. Please register so space is saved for you.
- We meet at the Peggy F. Murphy Center at 5920 Homestead Road in Fort Wayne, thanks to the generosity of Stillwater Hospice. When you enter the building, follow the signs to our downstairs location.
- Feel free to come early, with doors opening at 7:30 am, to network with others. We start promptly at 8 am, and the meeting ends by 9 am.
