Celebrate the 5th Tuesday in September! The public is invited to Plead The Fifth, a night of storytelling, music, art, truth, and inspiration from 7 to 9 p.m. at CommonSpace coffee shop at 2901 N. 10th Street, Suite F in McAllen.
Featured readers include Érika E Garza, Javier Villarreal, Amanda Adams, Vince Britton, Aviva Xue, and Max Tyrone Lozano. Daniel García Ordaz (a.k.a. The Poet Mariachi) will emcee.
Featured writers will have 10 minutes to perform. An open-mic session will follow, as time permits--with 5 minutes per open-mic performer.
This is a free event brought to you by the Seven To Eight Poetry Project.
We'd like to encourage guests to consider donating canned food or non-perishable food for the Food Bank of the RGV. This is not required, but welcome.
