Learn one-rope tying to explore partner connection, improvisation, and communication through touch, tension, and movement.
About this Event

One rope can be enough to create a complete conversation. This class explores one-rope tying as a practice of connection, improvisation, and communication through tension, touch, and movement. Participants will learn fundamental one-rope techniques while exploring how changes in pace, placement, pressure, and rope handling can shape the experience between two bodies.

Through demonstrations, guided exercises, and discussion, we'll focus on responding to body language, building intention in the moment, and discovering how a single rope can create a wide range of dynamics and emotions. Whether used as a warm-up, a complete scene, or a way to deepen connection with a partner, one-rope tying offers endless opportunities for creativity and exploration.

**Requirements: Comfort with basic rope handling and foundational hitches.

Classroom 101: In the classroom we will have our monthly Rope Basics Class, covering all the fundamental aspects on rope bondage! We've updated our presentation to include more material and teach a bit more to get you started on your rope journey. You'll learn a bit about the history of rope, how to choose the rope that's right for you, and what we like to discuss before tying with someone. You'll also learn a single column tie, how to extend rope, and frictions to complete your ties!Even if you've been to the Basics before, this might be a great refresher! If you need rope we have it to use and don't worry if you don't have a tying partner! We have extra limbs via furniture.
