Club Steel Challenge - Starting every 3rd Saturday of the month!We will have a steel challenge for club members on Saturday September 20th. There is a mandatory safety meeting that starts at 8:30am that you *must attend* if you are participating! Arrive early! The rules of the challenge and all safety procedures that will be followed will be covered during that meeting.

Where: Ranges 1 and 2, third Saturday of each month (Police Range and .22 Only Range)
Arrive before 8:30 AM to sign in
There will be a brief shooter’s meeting at 8:30 AM. Everyone must attend it.
Firearms must remain in your gun bag or case until it’s your turn to shoot.
No handling of firearms anywhere at either range except at the firing line and under the direction of the Range Officer, any shooter violating this rule will be disqualified from the match. Only bring match gun or guns to event area.
What: Four courses of fire. Each course of fire consists of 5 steel plates.
Please bring enough rounds loaded in magazines to shoot one course of fire at a time (i.e., 25 rounds plus make up shots). Loading magazines at the firing line will delay the match. If you don’t have enough magazines, try to find a buddy who is shooting the same firearm and share them.
You may register to shoot two firearms. As long as there are open spots on your squad, we will accommodate you on a first come, first-served basis.
Shoot each course of fire 5 times, keeping your 4 best times. 100 total rounds necessary if you don’t miss.
Four classes, .22LR only:
• .22LR Pistol Iron Sights
• .22LR Pistol Red Dot or Scope
• .22LR Rifle Iron Sights
• .22LR Rifle Red Dot or Scope
• No holster needed. Starting position is low ready.
• 90% Handicap scoring. This means shooters with lower skill levels get a boost to level the playing field:
added percentage = (1 - your rolling average percentage) x 90%. If your rolling average is 50%, you will have 45% added to your final score. If your rolling average is 70%, you will add 27% to your final score, etc. Any skill level can win.
Prizes:
• 1st place - 200 rounds of .22LR ammo and a free entry into the next match.
• 2nd place - 200 rounds of .22LR ammo.
• 3rd place - 100 rounds of .22LR ammo.
Cost:
1st firearm - $12.00
2nd firearm - $8.00
