Sept 19th and Oct 3rd T-shirt Quilt Class

Please come join us to learn how to t-shirt quilt. This is a two session class. The cost is $75 total for the two day class. The first class will be Saturday, September 12th and the second class will be Saturday, October 3rd. Below is more information about what each session entails.
First session-Saturday, September 12th 10:30am-2:30pm
We will learn how to prepare shirts for t-shirt quilting. The instructor will provide shirts for you to try on first before you start on your own shirts. We will cut the shirts, apply iron-on interfacing, and cut out the t-shirt blocks. The instructor will give tips and tricks of what she has learned about the process and helpful hints to get you the best result. It is possible you may not get all your shirts done during class and need to finish preparing them at home.
Materials needed:
-T-shirts (12 to 25 depending on size of quilt desired)
-rotary cutter
-fabric scissors
-6.5 yards of fusible/iron-on interfacing
-square ruler (12.5 or 15.5 square ruler are recommended)
-Teflon pressing sheet
**Most items are available for purchase in store.
Second session-Saturday, October 3rd 10:30am-2:30pm
After you have prepared all of your shirt squares we will meet together to sew sashing between the shirts and create your quilt top. The top may not be completed by the end of class, depending on student pace.

-sewing machine and typical accessories
-rotary cutter
-acrylic rules
-sashing fabric
