Midnight Channel (Lethbridge, AB 🌟) — post-bop jazz, improvisation, world rhythm, jazz fusion 🎶
Celebrating their Western Canada Tour and the release of Alien Love Songs, Midnight Channel made a powerful debut with Gemini Sunrise, hitting #10 on the National Earshot! Jazz Charts 🚀 Their sound blends 1960s cosmic free jazz with post-bop, Japanese fusion, and neo-soul grooves. Live, they’re an explosion of energy ⚡, soaring improvisations, and contagious joy, transforming the stage into a spellbinding experience.
Joel Jeschke (Edmonton, AB 🥁) — drummer & composer
Joel is a sought-after drummer and composer not bound by genre. He has performed and recorded with artists from rock (Royal Tusk, Whale and the Wolf) to modern jazz (Aretha Tillotson, Stephanie Urquhart Quartet, Brett Hansen). His debut album Time & Place — called “a very high level contemporary jazz album” by Pan M 360 — explores balance, asymmetric time signatures, visceral pulse, and manic dissonance consoled by lonely melodies. Tracks like The Number Twelve challenge with chaos, while Song For When It Rains offers solemn introspection. Joel’s music merges tradition and innovation, grounded yet progressive 🎶.
Social Eyes (Calgary, AB 🎹) — folk, jazz, electronic fusion
Combining Gareth Gilliland’s thoughtful songwriting with collective improvisation, Social Eyes explores the intersections of folk melodies, jazz harmony, and electronic textures, creating a sound that is reflective, inventive, and deeply engaging.
Come for the music 🎵 /// stay for the vibes ✨
