Sensual dance is about deeply connecting with music and expressing the emotions it stirs within you. The movement is often soft, fluid, and elegant, but it can also be fiery, untamed, and passionate. It’s a celebration of your body and the way it lets you experience the world through movement and sensation. In this class, we embrace our sensuality and sexuality without shame, exploring what it means to be unapologetically ourselves. It’s a space to feel, play, and express, surrounded by warm, open-minded people who share the same passion. If this resonates with you, come join us!
What You Can Expect From This Class
Every class is 1.5 hours long and typically includes three sections:
Warming up
Practicing a specific element of sensual dance
Examples include isolating body parts, walking with confidence, whining your hips, twerking, floorwork, improving your musicality, creating beautiful lines with your arms and legs, moving with flow, working on the dynamics of your dance, making eye contact, and embodying attitude.
Choreography
Some lessons may skip choreography to allow more time to dive into specific techniques, or vice versa.
Throughout the class, I create moments for you to dance freely using the elements we’ve practiced. This helps you find your own style and express yourself—anytime, anywhere. If we get too focused on choreography, it can make you dependent on someone else’s structure to move your body. Dancing freely might feel intimidating at first, but trust me: it’s one of the most beautiful and liberating things you can experience!
Why I Changed the Name From High Heels to Sensual Dance
My primary goal is to create a space where people can enjoy moving in a sensual way.
Yes, wearing high heels can enhance this type of movement. Many people find that heels give them a more elegant posture, help embody confident energy, and improve balance and body control over time. But they’re not for everyone. Some people can’t wear them due to medical reasons, while others simply don’t enjoy wearing them yet still want to explore their sensuality. I want to leave it up to you—wear heels if you love them, or don’t if you don’t. Either way, I’m sure you’ll light up the room with your energy.
Additionally, during the warm-up and certain techniques like twerking or whining, we often dance barefoot or in socks. On some days, this will be the main focus of the class, so calling it “Sensual Dance” feels more inclusive and fitting.
FAQs and Reminders
What to wear
You’re welcome to wear whatever feels comfortable, from sweatpants to lingerie. However, I recommend clothing that allows your hips enough room to whine and jiggle. If your outfit is too tight, it might restrict your movement. For comfort during floorwork, bring kneepads or wear clothing that offers knee cushioning.
Tickets
You can purchase a ticket for the full month or join a single class. You’re welcome to join at any point, but keep in mind that as the month goes on, the classes build on what we’ve already covered. Joining for the full month allows you to grow your skills step by step, which is why it’s my recommended option for getting the most out of the experience.
Beginner-friendly

No kizomba experience needed
Although the class takes place at a kizomba studio, this is a separate style, so no prior kizomba experience is necessary.
