Sensory SEA at Mote Science Education Aquarium

Mote Science Education Aquarium will open its doors an hour early exclusively for individuals with sensory processing differences or autism spectrum disorders.
During this event, Mote will create a welcoming, calm, and inclusive environment with sensory-friendly modifications such as softer lighting, reduced noise levels, and minimized visual stimulation whenever possible.
Sensory SEA begins at 8:30 AM, and visitors will enter in timed intervals to help minimize crowding. Guests are welcome to continue enjoying the exhibits after the sensory-friendly hour ends at 9:30 AM, when the Aquarium opens to the public.
Sensory backpacks are available free of charge for checkout in exchange for an ID during Sensory SEA events, as well as during regular operating hours.
