In this presentation Dr. David Lary will delve in his insights on remote sensing from robotic aerial vehicles and machine learning.
Bio:
Dr. David Lary is a Professor of Physics at the Hanson Center for Space Science with over 30 years of experience in applying science to address real-world challenges and meet societal needs. His mission is to leverage advanced sensing technologies—such as distributed sensing systems, machine learning, wearables, and remote sensing—to provide scientific insights and decision support for preemptive human protection, environmental sustainability, and human health.
Dr. Lary is dedicated to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and students to design and deploy innovative sensing solutions. His work includes developing robotic teams, unmanned aerial vehicles, smart city sensors, and biometric sensors. Throughout his career, he has made significant contributions to atmospheric chemistry, big data, smart cities, and health applications, as evidenced by his numerous publications, awards, and teaching roles.
