If you love a bit of Jane Austen and you're as excited as we are to celebrate her 250th birthday, you will be delighted to learn that we are ending our 2025 Summer season with another of her most popular works, Sense & Sensibility, brought to us by the fabulous @dotprodshows The Dashwood sisters have a very different approach to their love lives. Elinor has much more Sense, but Marianne has a great deal of Sensibility. Whilst uninterested in the affections of a middle-aged man Marianne just can’t help herself when a dashing young hero appears on the scene.
Heroes, heartbreak and debonair villains, all topped off with a dashing duel, will remind you why Austen was a master of her craft.
A cast of five actors and DOTS renowned comedic style make this comedy of manners a production not to be missed.
Do you love a bit of fancy dress too? Dresses and bonnets, waistcoats and breeches! It's by no means compulsory, but we would love you to join in the fun, if you feel comfortable!
Some of our fantastic volunteer Crew and several of our regular patrons are already excited to join in and are planning their period costumes for the event!
