Senior Planet: Tech Basics for Caregiving
Free and open to adults ages 60+
• Monday, July 20 from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm
• In-Person: IU Northwest*
• Register by July 16 at go.iu.edu/3AVG or 219-980-6907
Caregiving is challenging in different ways for both the caregivers and the recipients of care. Thankfully, there are a variety of tech tools that can make caregiving easier for both and allow people to do more on their own. In this lecture, we’ll explore ways to integrate technology into your daily routine: from scheduling reminders with your phone or home assistant, to accessing selfcare resources and making the most of telehealth appointments. We’ll also explore options for ordering and receiving essential items like groceries and prescription drugs from the comfort of your home.
This Senior Planet from AARP class is being offered through the Senior Planet licensing program.
Accessibility: To request accommodations (large front, braille, wheelchair assistance, etc.), please contact CURE at least 5 days in advance at 219-980-6907 or [email protected].
*In-Person Sessions: These sessions will take place at the IU Northwest campus. Location specifics (i.e., building and room number) are provided to registrants via a confirmation letter that is sent after registration.
