About:
Sophie's Body:
Sophie's Body is a Boston-based bubble grunge band, fronted by singer and guitarist Sophie McMinn. With a killer combination of intensely emotional songwriting, hard-hitting, catchy riffs, and unmatched live energy, Sophie's Body is making a serious mark in the underground alt-rock scene.
Unique in lyricism, harmony, and rhythm, Sophie's Body has garnered a cult following who appreciate both the nuanced sound of developed instrumentals, and the raw emotion of feelings that can only be screamed.
Sophie's Body debuted their sophomore EP "Mandatory Girl" April 11th of 2025, preceded by a single and music video for the EP's electric first track, "LASH".
"Mandatory Girl" encapsulates angst within five songs and 15 minutes of raw lyricism and powerful instrumentals. This EP is serious step forward in the band's sonic maturity, and will be followed by an exciting mini-tour through the band's Northeast stomping grounds.
This music means the absolute world to us. Thank you so much for listening, you're making our dreams come true.

Senior Living
Senior Living are bringing their new shoegaze sounds from Albany, NY, describing themselves as "tired and heavy." The band delivers a wistful and indeed weighty take on the genre, one that certainly deserves attention.Their latest track, caught doing things (i shouldn't do), exudes bold, introspective energy with a bit of rough confessional edge."We wrote it while navigating some collective mental health struggles as a band," they mention, "something we feel is emblematic of our generation — and we hope it resonates with anyone facing the same kind of chaos."The track is accompanied by a DIY music video inspired by a recurring anxiety dream. Shot in Albany and co-directed by the band and their friend Maysen St. Germain, the video blends a surreal time-loop narrative with live performance footage. This is beautiful underground shoegaze; heavy, wistful, and full of promise. It’s not to be missed.
