Join us for our ongoing series of Senior Gatherings at The Cooperage!
These Gatherings will be held from 1:30–3:30pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at The Cooperage Project, 1030 Main Street, Honesdale, PA. These welcoming afternoons are designed to bring older adults (60+) together in a warm and friendly setting. Enjoy light refreshments, engaging conversation, and curated programming in the heart of your community. These free, drop-in gatherings are a great way to stay connected and unwind with neighbors. Programming will continue into 2026.
During the summer and early fall, the Cooperage Project’s Northern Poconos Mobile Market will also be on site for you to purchase fresh, local products like cheese, produce, meat, and quiche!
Senior Gatherings at The Cooperage are being developed in collaboration with Tusten Social, a similar nonprofit based in Narrowsburg, NY.
Recognizing the need for more consistent senior engagement across the Upper Delaware region, as well as seizing an opportunity to uplift one another’s community endeavors, we are coordinating their senior offerings - ensuring that older adults in the region now have a weekly opportunity for connection, enrichment, and fun. Tusten Social’s popular “Sage Sessions,” held on the first and third Thursdays of the month (1:30-3:30pm at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance), are now complemented by The Cooperage’s Senior Gatherings on the second and fourth Thursdays, 1:30-3:30pm at The Cooperage. Both programs are free and require no RSVP.
Sage Sessions and Senior Gatherings offer a wide range of activities—from storytelling and movement classes to live music, wellness workshops, and visits from The Cooperage’s Northern Poconos Mobile Farm Market. This thoughtful scheduling means that seniors can count on something every Thursday, without duplication, and while stewarding our nonprofit resources!
