Sylacauga Parks & Recreation and the Maxye Veazey Senior Center invite area seniors to join in a vibrant celebration of National Senior Citizens Day at the Senior Citizens Extravaganza on Friday, August 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the J. Craig Smith Community Center Gym.
This year’s theme, “Living Life in Full Color,” encourages seniors to come dressed in their favorite color of the rainbow and enjoy a day filled with fun, fellowship, entertainment, and recognition. Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, including bingo, giveaways, vendor booths, special performances, and a Senior Spotlight recognizing outstanding members of the senior community.
One of the highlights of the event will be the Color Rally, where participants can show off their colorful attire and team spirit. A special prize will be awarded to the group dressed in the best coordinated color scheme.
In addition to the activities and entertainment, lunch will be provided for all registered attendees. Seniors interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP by August 13 by calling 256-401-0021.
