Nina o sobie:
My journey in competitive obedience started with my previous dog, with whom I competed at the highest level in Norway and achieved excellent results. After becoming a mother, I took a break from competing to focus on family life.
Now, with a new dog, I am excited to be back in the sport and working towards new goals. I have extensive experience teaching courses and seminars, and competitive obedience has always been my greatest passion.
What I enjoy most about dog training is not necessarily competing itself, but the process of learning and problem-solving. I love exploring new ideas and strategies, analyzing training challenges, and making adjustments along the way. I spend a lot of time thinking about training, building strong foundation skills, and experimenting to find the best solutions for each dog.
The greatest reward for me is seeing the moment when everything clicks for the dog — when understanding shines through and communication becomes clear. Those moments of progress and partnership are what truly inspire me and bring me the most joy.
I don’t know what you want of information, but you can just shorten it and use what you want?
Renate o sobie:
I’ve trained six dogs to the title of Norwegian Obedience Champion- three Border Collies and three Golden Retrievers -and I’ve represented the Norwegian National Team with two of them.
I want training to be just as enjoyable for the dog as it is for the handler. I believe dogs learn best when they are active participants in the process, encouraged to think, take initiative, and make good choices rather than simply follow instructions.
I enjoy designing thoughtful reward systems that build motivation, confidence, and understanding. For me, the greatest part of training is watching a dog discover something new and truly enjoy the journey of learning.
