Constantinople, declared the new capital by Roman Emperor Constantine in 330 CE, holds a unique place in history as the capital that carried the political and cultural heritage of Ancient Rome to the East. Thanks to its strategic geographical location, it has been the intersection point of both Eastern and Western civilizations for centuries. This presentation will examine the city's founding process, imperial vision, and early urban structure. We invite you to join us as we explore this turning point in the history of civilization.Ufuk Demirgüç (PhD) is an architect, architectural historian, and researcher.
