As the sun dips toward the horizon on the Summer Solstice of 2026 in Erie County it will transform Lake Erie into a vibrant canvas for the Semi-Quincentennial Sunset at Solstice Celebration.

Marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. Neighbors and friends will gather along the shores of Lake Erie in places like Hamburg and Buffalo, where the sky will erupt in hues of Indigo, crimson, gold, and indigo, symbolizing the enduring spirit of freedom and unity.

This momentous event will not only honor America’s revolutionary past but also ignite hope for the future, as the longest day of the year ended in a breathtaking display of natural and communal splendor.
