  • Cross at intersections.
  • Look both ways before entering the street.
  • Scan the area as you cross the street.
  • Wear bright and reflective clothing.

  • Do not text so you can see what is happening around you.

When rolling:

  • Ensure all equipment works on your bicycle (do an ABC Quick Check).
  • Always wear a helmet (we have helmets available).
  • Go with the flow: Ride in the same direction as the traffic.
  • Use bicycle lanes when possible (1st Ave has bike lanes).
  • Walk your bicycle in the crosswalk and do not run.
  • Bicycles should be equipped with a white headlight and a red rear reflector.
  • Downtown Mesa is a “Walk Your Wheels” Zone on the sidewalk between Country Club Drive and Centennial Way.

Please note: Main Street is a Walk Your Wheels Zone between Country Club Drive and Centennial Way. If riding or rolling, children younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult in a trailer or on a tandem. A waiver will need to be completed to participate in the event.
