Join us for the Anchorage Self-Directed Community Forum as we explore how self-directed services could create more choice, flexibility, and independence for Alaskans. Self-direction allows participants to have greater control over the supports they receive, who provides those supports, and how and when services are delivered. We want to hear directly from the people most impacted as we consider bringing more self-directed service options to Alaska. The forum will feature two separate sessions designed for different audiences:
Families and Self-Advocates (2:00–4:00 PM): Individuals with disabilities, elders, family members, and supporters are invited to share their experiences, needs, and ideas about what self-directed services could look like in Alaska.
Providers and Care Coordinators (5:00–6:30 PM): Service providers, care coordinators, and professionals are encouraged to join the conversation about opportunities, challenges, and how self-direction could support person-centered care across Alaska.
Your feedback will help shape the future of self-directed services in our state!
