🛡️ Empowerment Self-Defense Workshop at The Karma House 🛡️

Join us on Saturday, October 13th from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM for an interactive and empowering self-defense workshop led by two incredible instructors, Kayla Berry and Krista Hanley, from We Are Safer Together.

🌟 About the Instructors:

• Kayla Berry (she/her) is a certified empowerment self-defense instructor with 5 years of experience teaching safety, self-defense, and violence prevention to people of all abilities. She brings expertise from her work with We Are Safer Together and the Denver Office of Emergency Management.
• Krista Hanley (she/her) is a writer, speaker, and self-defense instructor with over 10 years of experience. As a survivor of the Columbine High School tragedy, Krista channels her experiences into trauma-informed violence prevention programs that promote safety, personal empowerment, and healing.

💪 What You’ll Learn: Through interactive exercises, physical activities, and role-playing scenarios, you’ll gain valuable skills such as:

• Confidence in recognizing and interrupting potential violence
• Boundary setting and de-escalation techniques
• Emergency response skills and quick decision-making
• Building resilience and trauma recovery
• Leadership development and community building

This workshop is designed for all abilities and is trauma-informed, ensuring that everyone feels safe and supported.
