Self-Defense Awareness Month: Firearms Familiarization & De-Escalation Techniques
Join us on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 5:30-9:00 PM on the patio as we kick off Self-Defense Awareness Month with an informative and empowering event!
Guest presentation will start 7pm.
We’re excited to welcome Precision Point Shooting and Training Center, Montgomery County Police Officer specializing in firearms training, and representatives from the Multi-Cultural Liaison Unit of the Frederick County Police Force to guide us through:
Firearms Familiarization: Learn and ask questions about the safe handling, maintenance, and basic understanding of firearms. We will discuss options for learning in an inclusive space in Frederick County.
De-escalation Techniques: How to defuse tense situations and prevent violence through communication and calm action.
Services: Learn and ask questions about the Multi-Cultural Unit of the Frederick County Police Force. This team works to bridge the gap between police and residents in their assigned community. Their goal is to increase trust in law enforcement, build relationships, reduce fear and ensure residents in minority communities feel comfortable calling 911 to report crime.
This event is an incredible opportunity to learn valuable skills that can empower you, no matter your experience level.
Plus, you’ll hear about upcoming self-defense classes with these amazing organizations!
