This practical, step-by-step workshop, run by the Business Skills Hub, is designed to help self-employed people feel confident completing their Self Assessment tax return.
If you’re unsure where to start or worried about getting it wrong, this session will guide you through the process clearly and simply. You’ll learn what needs to be declared, what expenses you can claim, and whether you need to complete a return at all.
We’ll walk through how to complete your Self Assessment online using Government Gateway, using plain English and real-life examples. You’ll also cover key deadlines, payments on account, and how to avoid common mistakes that can lead to stress or penalties.
The session is led by Gemma Pearce from the Business Skills Hub, who has over 13 years’ experience running an accountancy and bookkeeping business.
