Creator | Facilitator Profile:

Tim Walsh is an award-winning toy and game designer, author, filmmaker and speaker. His books, Timeless Toys (Andrews-McMeel) and WHAM-O Super-Book (by Chronicle Books) were praised by The Wall Street Journal and NPR. Tim co-produced the film Toyland, with director Ken Sons, which premiered at the Sarasota Film Festival. The film went one to win Best Documentary awards at three US film festivals. In 2016, he co-produced and co-directed OPERATION: Operation The Power of Play with Peggy Brown. The film shares the amazing story of John Spinello, the inventor of the classic game Operation. The film won best documentary and the top prize for best film at the 2017 Naperville Independent Film Festival. Tim's appeared on numerous TV and radio shows including NPR’s All Things Considered, and regularly on The History Channel’s hit show The Toys That Built America.

Tim facilitates creativity workshops based on play whenever he can and has dedicated many of this own creative projects to the promotion of other designers.
