About this Event
In these times of change, turbulence, opportunity, confusion, and rearrangement, there is a growing sense that there is a deeper conversation beneath the hustle and bustle. What is this conversation and how do we enter it? What or who do we look to? Where are our elders? And what makes an elder? How do we recognize elderhood if we are not taught to value it?
A Peace of My Mind is hosting this series of convening-inquiries where we together can meet with these questions and wonder ourselves into a wider conversation. Through story and poetry we'll begin to ask what it means to build a culture, or to reinstate a culture of elderhood in our own lives and in our broader culture.
Whether you live in a community that values elderhood or not, your insights, curiosity, wisdom, experience, wonderings, wrestlings, frustrations, and confusions are welcome in this space. Bring whatever you're holding around this topic and put it into conversation with a community interested in exploring these themes.
