Seeking Sukoon: A Gathering to Honour Grief
About this Event
Speaker: Huma Saeedi, MSc, MA, Registered Psychotherapist, Director at Cedarway Therapy & Sakeenah Canada Board of Directors
Grief is not something to fix, rush, or leave behind. Grief is something to honor. This gathering is a gentle, faith-centered space for Muslim women to sit with their grief, acknowledging it as a meaningful and enduring part of our lives. Together, we will reflect on loss through the lens of sabr (patience) and rahmah (mercy), making room for sorrow without the pressure to “move on.”
Through quiet reflection, shared presence, and spiritual grounding, we invite you to come as you are—carrying what you carry. Here, grief is not silenced or hurried, but held with care, dignity, and grace.
