Exhibit: September 2 - October 14
Reception – Thursday, September 3, 5 – 7 pm
This interactive visual arts exhibit explores the restorative qualities, symbolism, and fragility of birds through more than 50 works in pastel, gouache, and beadwork sculpture. Three women artists—Roberta Condon, Lorraine Ortner-Blake, and Debra Grall—present distinct series that invite reflection on our connection to nature. Condon’s figurative pastels celebrate the magical interplay of humans and birds; Ortner-Blake’s gouache paintings depict birds as sacred icons bridging earth and sky; and Grall’s beadwork sculptures evoke the Raven’s warning about extinction. Enhanced by digital bird calls, the exhibit offers a multi-sensory experience of color, sound, and meaning. No cost for admission.
