Seed and Scion Exchange - February 1, 2026 from 1-4 PM featuring keynote speaker Eric Mack, owner of The Kai Garden.
Our annual Seed and Scion Exchange is a unique free event celebrating nature's seed diversity. Whether you're an experienced gardener or new to growing, this event offers a fun opportunity to exchange seeds, scions (cuttings), and gardening knowledge with fellow plant enthusiasts. Come explore the rich variety of seeds and scions – common contributions include herbs, veggies, annuals, perennials, and more. Plus, you’ll connect with a community dedicated to sustainable gardening and helping one another succeed.

DECATUR RECREATION CENTER
231 Sycamore Street
Decatur, GA 30030
Schedule:
1 PM: Keynote Speaker Eric Mack, owner of The Kai Garden
1-2 PM: Drop off your seed donations at the front check in table. Volunteers will distribute to the appropriate tables.
2 PM: Seed exchange starts
This event is free to attend. We encourage that all attendees bring at least 5 or more of the items listed below:
a) 5-10 seed packets (partially used, homemade, or commercially sold)
b) cuttings or fruit tree scions to share
c) gently used gardening accessories, books, or magazines
If you are packaging your own seeds, please include the following on your seed packet:
a) Type of plant (vegetable, flower, herb)
b) Name of the plant (common name, scientific name if available)
c) Age of the seed
