Hailing from Syracuse, NY, Freya was formed in 2001 by three members of Earth Crisis’ bassist Ian Edwards, lead guitarist Eric Edwards and vocalist Karl Buechner. When Earth Crisis temporarily concluded, members split into three separate bands; Freya, percussionist and guitarist Dennis Merrick and Scott Crouse, respectively, formed Slave One and all five Earth Crisis members continued on with their reactivated project band, Path of Resistance.
Over the past 20 years, Freya have blazed a path through both the worldwide hardcore and metal scenes. Prominently featured on MTV’s Room Raiders, Road Rules and the iconic Headbangers Ball as well as the Showtime series, Shameless, the Freya vault runs deep with their soon to be seventh release, Fight As One, since their inception. Freya’s discography has been featured in Kerrang!, Decibel, Amp and Metal Hammer for their unique sound, a well-crafted amalgamation of darkened New York style hardcore with a generous dose of thrash metal stirred into the mix.

With countless concerts, festival dates and highly successful worldwide tours behind them, Freya have earned their place in the pantheon. Over the years, Freya has toured with Walls of Jericho, All Shall Perish, Born From Pain and Sworn Enemy as well as sharing the stage with Andrew WK Napalm Death, DRI, Behemoth, Crowbar and Hatebreed.
As the band approaches its 20th anniversary for their first release, As the Last Light Drains (Victory Records, 2003), Freya have returned to their roots with a pulverizing new full-length album, entitled Fight As One. Two decades of composing, recording and performing is indeed a special milestone for Freya, and with no signs of slowing down.

Freya are joined by three legendary hardcore front-men on their newest album; Freddie Cricien (Madball) delivers a crushing performance on the title track, Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed) seethes on Sense of Doom and Scott Vogel (Terror) drops the hammer on Thousand Yard Stare.

To be “Undeniable” is the objective and axiom that RIG TIME! irrefutably has avowed since their inception. Formed in Wisconsin, they quickly began touring relentlessly, performing coast to coast in 46 states and counting, executing a fierce live performance with precise and fearless transitions, always at astonishingly vulgar decibels. These two performers exhibit the mass of a full band aura as they implement a complete Vocal/Guitar/Bass/Drums/Synth performance without backing tracks, never suppressing their magnitude of raw energy and emotion through sincere lyrics and colossal stage presence.
Boldly infusing primal ferocity and solid reverence for groove, RIG TIME!’s self-described “Wisconsin Heavy” sound draws influence from hardcore, doom, nu metal and other models of extreme music. Their dedication to innovation, carving their profoundly honest and unparalleled contribution to the heavy music world, is imperative. Their latest effort "REBORN" was released on July 29, 2022 via State Of Mind Recordings as the highly anticipated follow-up to 2017's colossal full length "WAR" released on Innerstrength Records. The band is currently working on their next full length album with a full promise to deliver above and beyond all expectations that these two can achieve sonically and lyrically.
Vocalist/Drummer Bryan W. Fleming heaves malicious power from behind the kit, scowling with every word retching from his diaphragm, while rendering strong in the pocket grooves and doom-laden analog synth soundscapes to reinforce the impact.
Guitarist/Bassist Rebecca Fleming enforces a cataclysmic onslaught of riffs through her unique live setup, devastating the listener with vast atmosphere, agile application and thoughtfully calculated compositions.
Outburn Magazine declared “...offers relentless rhythms with industrial precision as well as a smart beat changing sensibility” and “...guitar is mean, saturated and dogmatically singular.”, also noting “...for fans of earlier, angrier Godflesh."
New Noise Magazine said, “Puncturing their blend of sludge and hardcore – with a tight embrace on powerviolence – the band kicks fast and dirgy tones, manifesting unbridled hatred.” and likened RIG TIME! to heavyweights Xibalba and Harm’s Way.
In their ascending conquest of performances for the masses, they have pledged a true respect for the arts by only performing at all ages events, to raise awareness about the importance of live music being obtainable to everyone and its vitality to the rejuvenation of the music scene. This allegiance to the “All Ages or Nothing” movement has stood unyielding since their debut, gaining proponents in solidarity.
