One of the greatest privileges about being in a Lutheran Christian School is the opportunity to pray and praise our Heavenly Father at any time. Unfortunately, that is not the case for children attending public schools. In 1990 a group of public-school students gathered before school around the flag pole at their school to offer up prayers to God for their school and country. This started what has become an annual international event that has come to be known as “See You at the Pole”, celebrated on the fourth Wednesday of September. Wednesday, September 24, at 7:30, we are inviting parents and students of Zion Lutheran School to gather around the flag pole by the school entrance for a short service including scripture readings and prayer, as we ask God to protect and bless our school and country. Following the service, we will celebrate the privilege we have in Christ with a doughnut celebration. We hope to “See You at the Pole”.
