Secrets of Strixhaven Prerelease @ Odyssey Games Pasadena

Please have the MTG Companion app downloaded onto your mobile device, as that is how you will receive your event pairings.

Prerelease celebrates the launch of a new set and is your players' first opportunity to explore what the set has to offer. Players open a Prerelease Pack, build a 40-card Sealed deck, and play with the set for the first time in a casual and fun environment.

There are five versions of the Prerelease Pack for Secrets of Strixhaven, each aligned with one of Strixhaven's colleges: Silverquill, Prismari, Witherbloom, Lorehold, and Quandrix. Each includes a college themed seeded booster and a Spindown™ life counter. Prerelease kits will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis; no reservations.

You'll construct a 40-card sealed deck from the contents of your Prerelease Pack and any number of basic lands. This is your first chance to play with all the new cards in this release, which makes it a perfect learning experience for any new Magic player. Everyone will be on equal footing, which means everyone can walk away a winner (or at least play with some sweet new cards).

Three rounds of Swiss maximum. No player cap. Prizing will be one Secrets of Strixhaven Play Booster per win (two per win for 2HG).

Entry fee = $40 via Eventbrite, or pay in person at our store.

For 2HG players, please select either Saturday, 4/18 at 7pm OR Sunday, 4/19 at 7pm, then select the 2HG ticket option before checkout.

For those who would like to purchase a Prerelease kit outside of our in-store events, we are offering the At-Home Event option only in store, NOT via Eventbrite this time. To receive one free Secrets of Strixhaven Play Booster for participating, please input the MTG Companion code provided at the counter at time of purchase (while supplies last; free pack promotion available through 4/23 for pickup only).
