Secretary Training at Convention
At this year’s Washington State Elks Summer Convention, our incoming State Sponsor Mike Luhr is pulling out all the stops to bring you something completely different, a real-world, practical Secretary Training led by none other than Gary Washburn from the Alaska State Elks Association.
Thursday, June 18 - 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Gary brings a unique perspective from one of the most active state associations in Elkdom. As the current Secretary of the Alaska State Elks Association, a longtime lodge leader, committee chair, officer trainer, and hands-on Elk volunteer, he has built a reputation for helping lodges operate smarter, stronger, and more effectively. Alaska’s Elks organization is known for developing engaged leaders, supporting lodges across enormous distances, and finding practical solutions that work in the real world.
Gary has been right in the middle of making that happen.
This is not just another review of forms and procedures. This is training from a fresh voice, from a different state, from someone who understands both the challenges and opportunities facing today’s lodge secretaries.
Expect ideas you can use, insight you may not have heard before, and motivation that reminds us why the Secretary role remains one of the most important positions in our Order.
Whether you are brand new to the office or have been serving for years, this session will absolutely be worth your time.
Come ready to learn, laugh, share ideas, and leave energized.
We’ll see you there.
